Blogliness News feeds

I utilized the tools to find and subscribe to news feeds. I was actually surprised at the numbers of feeds that were available. I could subscribe to scientific america, wired, all sorts of teckie feeds. I was even able to subscribe to Dilbert. Everyone needs a laugh now and again.

Since I work in IT I did not really find any of the tools to difficult to work with. For me though I think that a simple google search did the trick. That seems to be the best search tool for me.

RSS

I think that RSS will work for some but may be a bit overwhelming for most.

I like the way you can organize your rss feeds. I like the varying topics you can subscribe to. You can then go back and read them at your leasure.

But it just may be information overload for most.

I think Libraries can take advantage of RSS feeds to supply reviews on books., informaiton on library events and information about services offered by the LIbrary.

HD TV's

I believe this will be the year that americans catch up with the rest of the world in owning HD tv's. For a country that is so techno savy it is surprising that HD has not been more popular.

It seems that this year will be the changing of the guard so to speak since the prices have dramatically dropped. This year there will probably be an HD TV in every home.

So maybe, just maybe we will make that 2009 date when they change the standard tv signal to a High Definition signal.

Zazzle

This third party utility on the flicker site is amazing. This could lend to a whole new use of a digital camera. I think its great for digital camera owners of all ages. The site will allow you to create all sorts of things form your digital pictures.

For new moms and dads it allows a creative way to share photos of the new baby. For teens it allows them to take photos of themselves and friends and create hats, t-shirts etc.

I thnk this can expand on the fun of owning a digital camera.

Subway increase

Today a bunch of individuals that work for the MTA once again decided the fate of all New Yorkers. The decison was to raise the cost of riding the subway. The average Joe is once again forced to comply thus driving nearly all New Yorkers yet a step closer to poverty.
